Duplex OMR Sheet

Sheets can be designed using as many question blocks which can properly fit onto the desired size of paper. There is no technical limit on number of questions but expectation is that it should be readable. Duplex sheets can also be created which means that two sided OMR Sheets can be designed and read by the software.

Duplex sheets:

There are requirements like large question bank in application forms and answer sheets where duplex sheets can play important role in saving the resources. Generally fields related to one type of information are clubbed on one side.

Example:

First Instance: Suppose Test Answer Sheet is used to collect Students Name, Mobile Number, Roll Number, and Choice of Course and subject plus 50 Questions with 4 options.

Solution: Can be managed using simplex or single sided OMR Sheet.

Second Instance: Suppose if the number of questions is 300 or say 200 with 5 options with all the other fields.

Solution: One can use duplex OMR where the Name, Mobile No., and Choice of Course or subject and Roll No. fields can be kept on one side of the page while the other side may purely contain 200 questions.

Usage:

• Where purpose of the examination body is to collect information of the candidate along with solving question paper
• Where the number of fields to be incorporated necessitates use of duplex sheet layout

Only Duplex scanners can scan simultaneously on both sides of the page. Normal office scanner does not have facility to scan the duplex OMR sheets.
